Marlboro Hose Co. No. 1 Joining Process:
- Submit application
- Interview with the Fire Chief and Hose Co. President (informal)
- Pass a basic medical and physical exam (at districts cost) (by First Care in Highland)
- Pass arson background investigation (arson background check only)
- Get voted in by the Hose Co. and the Fire District as a one year Probationary Firefighter
- Gear/equipment issuing

Marlboro Hose Co. No. 1 Probationary Firefighter Expectations:
*must be 16 years of age to join
- Attend a substantial amount of weekly Monday training nights starting at 7pm
- Attend most monthly 1st Tuesday of every month meeting nights starting at 730pm
- Make a substantial amount of calls
- Take a NYS training class at no cost to you (preferably during your 1 year probationary time)
- Pass a yearly basic medical and physical exam (at districts cost) (by First Care in Highland)
- Get voted in by the “House” for a full membership
