The Marlboro Hose Co. No. 1 has been proudly serving our community since 1897. We are located in the southeastern portion of Ulster County, in the state of New York. We currently operate with 3 engines, 1 rescue/pumper, a pick-up truck, a “side by side” UTV, 3 chief’s vehicles and a small water rescue row boat for non-river emergencies. All of our equipment and apparatus are housed at our only station which is located at 14 Grand Street in the town of Marlboro. The Marlboro Hose Co. No. 1 has about 50 active members who currently serve as officers, drivers, fire police, interior and exterior firefighters.
These members respond to approximately 200 fire related emergency calls per year. The Marlboro Hose Co. No. 1 does not respond to medical calls unless specifically requested. All of those calls consist of fires, automatic fire and CO alarms, gas odors, rescues, hazmat, car accidents, mutual aid, etc.
We train year-round to ensure that our members have as much knowledge as possible to keep our community safe. Our goal is to provide the best possible fire protection to our town and the local surrounding towns when a mutual aid response is needed.
The Marlboro Hose Co. No. 1 is always looking for new members. If you are interested in joining our family or finding out more information about our department, please do not hesitate to inquire.
