The Marlboro Hose Co. No. 1 has been proudly serving our community since 1897. We are located in the southeastern portion of Ulster County in the state of New York. We currently operate with 2 engines, 1 rescue/pumper, 1 Tanker, a utility pick-up truck, a “side by side” UTV and 3 chief’s vehicles. All of our equipment and apparatus are housed at our only station which is located at 14 Grand Street in the town of Marlboro. The Marlboro Hose Co. No. 1 has about 60 active members who currently serve as officers, drivers, fire police, interior and exterior firefighters.
These members respond to over 250 fire related emergency calls per year. The Marlboro Hose Co. No. 1 does not respond to medical calls unless specifically requested. All of those calls consist of fires, automatic fire and CO (carbon monoxide) alarms, gas odors, rescues, hazmat, motor vehicle accidents, mutual aid, etc.
We train year-round (every Monday night except holidays) to ensure that our members have as much knowledge as possible to keep our community safe. Our goal is to provide the best possible fire protection to our town and the local surrounding towns when a mutual aid response is needed.
The Marlboro Hose Co. No. 1 is ALWAYS in need and looking for new members. If you are interested in joining our family or finding out more information about our department, please do not hesitate to contact us. Feel free to check out our “Join Now” page as well for many of your questions answered!
